The beauty and grace of the process of introspection (that my writings are dedicated for) that-it develops our awareness about our interior state, in terms of our thoughts and our feelings.
In this article I want to address “Our unconscious” response to inflict pain on others. For two reasons:
We have resistance towards facing the pain and more so if facing this pain means acknowledging that we are bad in something.
This response is so tricky and goes un noticed for many of us who are in the healing path sometimes.
I observe that many of our patterns are related to our human experience in its’ nature and challenges.
The fact that we have minds, egos, passions, desires…etc. Trying to analyse these patterns in a way that satisfy our individual needs even for the most acknowledged psychologists would be impossible.
Every one of us (beautiful humans) is a mix of complicated layers, and each layer in the spiral of healing and of life would open us to another layer, while we are struggling with the polarities that’s our minds nature.
My approach is to focus on what is happening NOW, what are you feeling now? In the current situation you are facing what is going on? If you are triggered why are you triggered?…
I take the lens and focus it and direct it to a point. A precise point.
The base of my work is that we are interconnected and we are one with the whole of life; so if I am feeling some pain from someone or some condition my approach is let me see it from my internal experience.
(Watch this video if you haven’t about the base of my work)
For the purpose of this article I would want you to journal about:
What is a recent situation that triggered me or an actual situation that is triggering me?
Describe the situation fully.
What are the feelings showing up for you? Put a circle around each one of them?
For each feeling write who in your life now or in the past made you feel this way?
When they made you feel that way, what was your response?
This exercise can be repeated as needed, trust me it is liberating. And remember this quote by Carl Jung :
Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate”
I send you much Love.
