I’m thoroughly enjoying exploring the topics on your blog dear. Truly, these subjects… I don’t know, but this war has contributed to shaping a new awareness within me regarding this . And this universe and this human being truly deserve contemplation. The Sudanese, in particular, is the most sophisticated , especially when it comes to relationships. Childhood traumas, outdated customs, and the disturbing upbringing we’ve inherited across generations, unfortunately, formed our collective consciousness and our ability to express our basic needs. The Sudanese person, here, I speak of them because they are the society in which I spent most of my life, evokes my compassion because I find them deprived of the right and decent human notions of love and partnership.

I am so happy reading your comment my girl. I totally agree with you that the current war has pushed us into self awareness, it has escalated our pain to the level of FORCING us to go through it and the best way to handle pain is through awareness. Sudan is a very complicated reality, it always has been and this war has just ended our denial about it. Love and partnerships is the base of a healthy community, if we are not healed as women and men in those relationships, we can not participate in creating a healthy conscious community and then a prosperous country. It is always about the humans and their development.

This war has also showed us the ugliness, the hate and the separation which have all formed what Sudan is currently, a painful truth. The horrible rapes and the sufferings that the sudanese women suffered let alone the fear that every little girl and woman is having everyday that she could be raped or kidnapped, horrible atrocities against women by men.....For me this alone shows where we are as a nation in terms of love and respect. A country of blood and oppression is what Sudan is currently.

I hope we heal inside of ourselves, then we can heal our country.

I definitely agree! Love has become vague.. while it’s too simple.. we tend to complicate relationships because we don’t understand humans but it’s not like we don’t understand love..

Sometimes many people give me the impression that it is not even important, a sense of degradation to something that is very important like a hidden contempt even to love. And many others deny its importance in our life.

I also think that without one understanding her/himself, then understanding the other is impossible, let alone loving them. Maybe we need to re-understand what love is. We should talk about more. Thank you beautiful for reading and commenting, I truly appreciate it.
